stewart-ness
So I'm not a big fan of Martha Stewart.
There is something about her that disturbs me.
Maybe its the wholesomeness that she tries to portray.
Maybe its some of the tacky stuff she DOES make.
Maybe because she reconfirms the idea of being a housewife who needs to take care of the man.
Whatever, that doesn't really matter.
What matters is that even though I don't like Martha, I HAVE to give her props for being utterly successful with a paint line, kitchen ware, magazines, books, and probably a clothing line, a well watched TV show, and being well respected as a crafty person (which she can be). But she can then, go to jail, get out, get made fun of, go to interviews to discuss what happened, start her show up again with big guests, continue all her lines of stuff with her face plastered all over it, and have the public forget that she WENT TO JAIL!
Amazing!
I just felt like I am part of an infomercial trying to sell Martha.

last days

I love Christopher Walken.
He's awesome.
I made a brooch so others can show their appreciation too.
I need to make one for myself.
I also made Mona Lisa with laser eyes, because, well, why not?

short thoughts & freebies
Ok, remember when I said that I was going to get featured on a blog and I said you will have to tune in to see when it will be.
Its today.

I like the part "She's kind of a woman of few words, but she agreed to talk to us anyway."
If my friends read that, they will laugh because in real life, I am NOT a woman of few words!
Its more like "Jess, can I talk now?" or "Jess, shut up I don't care."
Did you know my real name is Jess?
Its kind of weird that I was very breif in that blog interview.
I think I was in a funk during that time.
Oh well.
oh other news, I have some new stuff that I haven't taken pictures of yet.
I can't wait to get them up and running.
Also, I made these cute newborn shirts.
I have one more newborn shirt left that I don't know what to do with.
So I am going to attempt to do my first give away!
(Its great as a gift or maybe for a baby shower coming up?)

broken minds
My dog broke her thumbnail right down to the skin.
Most of it came off and I had to bring her to the vet to get the rest of it off.
She wasn't happy.
But she does have this absolutely adorable bandages that are pink with purple hearts.
She hates it but its funny to watch her walk alkwardly with it on.
I think she knows I'm laughing at her.
She's all ok though. Apparently its fairly common during the winter months.
On a completely different note, I decided to have a 20% off sale in my etsy shop.
Check it out.

lucky stars and snowy nights
Its snowing a lot which made me decide to stay at home today.
So I'm still in my PJ's and its almost 1PM, but I don't care.
I was going to take my dog out to enjoy the snow, but as I'm looking out there right now, the snow is pretty much horizontal which I'm not sure I want to deal with.
Maybe later...
What I was really going to write about is my excitement.
I was at the local high school so I can let my dog run around freely, when I saw something in the distance.
I was thinking, looks like a camera.
I got closer and that's when I noticed it was a camera. A Holga 120N in fact.
At first I thought, oh it probably doesn't work.
But then I remembered that holgas are pretty much made out of plastic.
So I took it apart, cleaned it up, and let it dry out.
The shutter looks like it still works so I got a Holga for free.
I always wanted one, but I didn't want to dish out the money.
YAY!
I can't wait to play with it.
