I've got nothing

I haven't written but that's only because I had nothing to write about.
Sorry.

Its been a fairly cold spring and today isn't much better.
The plus side is that when I wake up at 6AM, its actually kind of light outside and the birds are starting to chirp away.

I have some ideas for paintings that I am going to attempt and try to sell.
Basically it was some old stuff that I am realizing I can do something with them.

Also...
I decided to sell this

I had 2 extra frames so I'm going to make and then put them up for sale.

forgetful places, forgetful faces

I realized that with pictures, I tend to neglect my cat.
Which is surprising, because she is such an easy model.
Plus my cat has an absolutely gorgeous orange coat.

If she was alive, she would act like a Hepburn.
So dignified and beautiful. Only with orange/redish hair.

lately she has been craving attention. She is usually never a lap cat, but lately she has been. Plus she has been greeting me every morning.
Its kind of nice actually.
But if I don't give her enough attention, she pukes.

I have lately been drawing lots of faces.
So I figured, I would make them into pin form.

I haven't listed them to sell yet. I'm focusing my store on clothing and tote bags.
I think I am going to start to sell pins solely on my website.
That is if I can get my sorry ass to sit down in front of a computer to get it done.

I also revamped my website.
There are a lot of things that need to be done on it and I'll probably end up changing the whole layout by next month.
But at least I have something new up.

adaptations

I was REALLY skeptical when I heard that Where the Wild Things are was being adapted to a movie. I figured it was going to be lame so I had no hope that it was going to be good. Especially when this book is famous on its own.
I have also seen how some of my favorite childhood books have been turned into film and they lost a lot of its appeal on the big screen.

But then I saw the trailer and it changed my mind.
I am now enthralled to go and see this movie.


Plus I want that monster suit Max is wearing for Halloween.
Plus plus, Arcade Fire's song seems so chilling and perfect for this trailer.
Plus plus plus, Karen O and Carter Burwell are combining their powers to create the soundtrack.
Plus plus plus plus plus Spike Jonze is directing the film with a GREAT cast to back him up?!

So you may not actually want to run for president, but did you know you have a sleuth of followers that would give you their vote?
There are other celebrities that have gone into the political realm.
Look at Arnold Swarchenegger, Ronald Regan, and Jesse Ventura.

tough enough

I printed this a while back ago but I never got around to taking the photo.
I'm not happy with the photo. My nose looks extra weird in it (pig-like).



Oh well.
I can get really low self esteem about myself.
I'm my own worst critic.
I've been feeling kind of "off" lately.
I'm not sure why, since there is nothing causing it.
I feel so negative.
And some people at work are starting to get to me.
I need positive things.
happy, funny things.

I also found out I am taking care of my neighbors little black puppy pug, Porter!
He's ADORABLE! He'll snort his way into my heart!

bribary gets me nowhere

So I heard today that the movie Heathers (1988) is going to become a musical.
I LOVE Heathers! Winona before her shoplifting days, and Christian Slater before his controversial days (alcohol and guns).
But I don't know how I feel about a musical...
I feel the same way about all the redone movies that the movie industry has been doing for the past couple of years.
(Amityville Horror, Bad News Bears, Oceans Eleven, Dawn of the Dead, etc etc)
Did you know that they have plans to also redo the movie Clue?!
mmm....

On a different note, a church today bribed me with a granola bar to check out their church.
I have still yet to eat the granola bar.
