happy places, sad faces

Went to a roller derby on Saturday which was fun.
I like seeing women go around and try to shove each other off their skates.
One woman who was sitting on a camping chair (in the audience), got a skate to the shin. She didn't even flinch. She was more worried about loosing her purple ball of yarn.

Yes she was knitting.
No I'm not kidding.

I wonder what she was knitting.

Anyway, while I was there, this was staring back at me.
staring back at me

Darth Vader tried his death grip on me but I'm much more badass.
Sorry, my geeky side of me got excited about seeing the Vader mask.

On another note... this weekend I spray painted those tacky gold frames I mentioned on my last posting and got them looking nice.
I then painted directly on the glass and didn't bother putting a back on the frames.
This is the result.

May the force be with you.

I've never been to a roller derby. It's not very popular over here.

Love what you've done with those frames!

the wonder of spraypaint to spruce up anything. I like the final look with the painting on the glass.

Thanks. I'm very happy with the finishing results.

As for roller derbys.
They aren't very popular here either. It was my first one and I must say, it looks quite fun.
